2003 Ford Taurus - This is a very reliable car if you're willing to put in the care to maintain it.
The 2003 Ford Taurus is surprisingly reliable. It has the typical issues that any 14 year old car is expected to have. I have had to buy a new battery and replace some hoses. I've had brake issues and wheel bearings replaced. However, putting the little fixes here and there has been worth it. This car has made it so I have never been stranded and as the mother of two young children, that is very important. The car is a mid-sized vehicle but I have two car seats in the back and it isn't too cramped.
Story
I went to the dealership and bought this the same day my old car broke down. I was 6 months pregnant and told them I needed something safe and reliable and he immediately grabbed the keys for this vehicle.
Pros
This car comes with a safety feature of lights that turn on outside of the vehicle when you unlock it with your key fob.
It has a lot of interior room for a smaller car
Cons
The tires seem to need to be maintained more than a typical car. The headlights are dim.
2009 Ford Taurus - Smooth ride.
My Taurus has been amazing, I have had it for almost three years now and I have not had to do any major maintenance. I purchased the car used so it had roughly 70,000 miles when I got it. It has always driven smooth and I have yet to do any major work on it (knock on wood). It's also a lot of room, my family camps a lot and its great that the car can fit everything we need in the trunk.
Story
There are a lot of Metro Parks near me and sometimes it would be fun to take the car out at night and sit on top of the hood with friends and watch the stars at night.
Pros
Roomy interior. Great options available. Reliable. Cheap maintenance.
Cons
Gas guzzler. There is a known issue with a knocking noise caused by a sensor needing replaced.

2007 Ford Taurus - Yark Chrysler Jeep Dodge Toledo
They were very kind and listened to my needs and wants. They showed me a variety of cars which were close to meeting my needs, however all were a higher price range than what I was wanting to buy. They are very personable, and very understanding. They're also wanting to make you a deal, but the representative I had did not push it too much.
