2006 Ford Taurus - Loyal and reliable
It's got over sixty thousand miles on it and it still runs quite well. A few repairs have had to be made here and there, but nothing special. It's comfortable, accelerates well, and is built solid. It's easily been the most loyal car I've ever had. I also love the way it looks, very professional and clean without being showy. (I've never been a fan of sports cars).
Oddly enough, I've never gotten a ticket with it.
Story
I once got a compliment from a homeless guy on the car. It was at a Ralph's somewhere near UCLA.
Pros
Again, it's very solidly built and has rarely had to be repaired. It's very safe and easy to handle. I love the cruise control. It just feels like a second home on the road. It retains temperature well on cold nights so I don't have to have the heater on at full blast.
Cons
The fuel economy frankly could be a little better. After all, it's an old model. Sometimes it's stiff to turn and can feel a bit bulky. Then again some people appreciate that in a vehicle, the sense of safety that comes with a heavier machine.
Older models are harder to get repaired when they do start to age. Mine is still hanging in there after over ten years, but I'm not looking forward to having to finally let it go.
2004 Ford Taurus -
It is fuel efficient and never breaks down. The engine is simple so it is easy for me to work on. It does not have a large engine but it is strong enough and the car is light so it moves quickly.
Story
I like to drive it out of LA to cruise the back roads around the small towns.
Pros
I like the interior and the simplicity of the engine. The interior is durable and the engine is easy to maintain.
Cons
The paint is fading but that is because the sun is intense in California. This doesn't affect the performance of the car.
