My favorite part about this car is the trunk space. One time in college we were able to fit four grown adults in it. This also came in handy moving back-and-forth between college internship and home. The car got decent gas mileage especially on country roads. I enjoyed being able to get information from the car, the first car owned that would allow me to know the exact mileage left in the gas tank. One of the things I really disliked about this car, is the fact that the check engine light frequently would come on. Most often, the check engine light would come on because the gas lid was not true and Tylenol. I would have to drain the gas lid 10 to 20 times so that this check engine light will not come on. When I looked up the problem in the manual, it said that it could either be a dang... (more)
Story
One time we took long road trip, and drove across the state of Arizona up to four corners, I just thought it was really cool to be able to have my own car and do this. It was like the ultimate American moment of we’re young and we’re free!
Pros
The star give me freedom during college. It got good gas mileage, was cheap to insure, and had plenty a room in the trunk backseats to move my belongings. I like that the seats will fall down so that you can load in things like skis in the back of the car. The gas mileage wasn’t too bad either. The heater in the air conditioning or overboard and how effective they work! And some cold winters, you got so hot in the car that we had to turn off the heat and roll down some windows! I love taking this baby for country drives.
Cons
I wish you had more goods, faster exhilaration and faster response on the brakes. Had some issues with the battery early on, there may have been some modifications of the dealership. I wish I had better gas mileage too.

2005 Ford Taurus - The 2005 Ford Taurus is certainly a car.

The 2005 Ford Taurus does exactly what you would expect it to. It drives, and it definitely is a car. This vehicle was designed for fleet purchasers, and if you rented a car sometime between 2005 and 2010 you've been in one of these. It doesn't accelerate particularly quickly, the suspension isn't very tight, the brakes aren't super fast, and the steering isn't super responsive. In fact, the driving experience could easily be described as "spongy". The caveat to all of this, though, is that is also neither unpleasant or bad. There's a stately gentility to driving this car--it's straight out of the family sedans and station wagons if a bygone age--and it's actually rather comfortable. Interestingly, like cars from that bygone age, the Taurus has some features like a bench front seat (wi... (more)
Story
I was taking the dog to the vet office, and she was sitting on the back seat. As we rounded the first turn I watched her laying down slide all the way front the back left to back right because of how slippery those seats are.
Pros
The car is very comfortable. It's kind of like driving a broken in couch. This car also has great stowage capacity, and a great passenger capacity. The front bench seat increases space to be enough for up to six people inside this lowly sedan--which is better than every other sedan on the market currently.
Cons
Every aspect of driving this car is soft and spongy. It lacks acceleration, brakes are slow, and steering is non-responsive. Each of these things on their own aren't really that bad--but in combination they're very noticeable. Additionally, the back seat is very slippery. I would not stow anything back there unless I could buckle it in, because it's going to slide around like crazy.
