The 1991 Ford Ranger is a compact truck that does what you'd expect from a heavy performance truck. It looks great, as it has the old timey Ford look, and it gets the job done. Although it rattles a bit and the transmission can be a bit shaky, this is a good small truck.
Story
When the transmission finally gave out, it was on the side of the highway in the middle of rural Florida. It took two hours of flagging down a Florida state trooper to get a tow truck and get back to civilization.
Pros
For outdoorsmen, there's room in the bed to tie down a kayak and throw in camping gear. The gas mileage is decent as well, usually in the low to mid 20 MPG range. It's a Ford, so all parts to maintain and replace it are typically cheap and plentiful. It's fairly easy to work on as well. The parts are accessible and easily identified. It isn't so big either that it requires strenuous lifting, or so small that it requires crawling into small spots to get those heard to reach parts.
Cons
As with all cars, they begin to show their wear and tear with age. The Ford Ranger is no exception. Unfortunately, this truck does not have the reliability you'd expect from say a Honda or a Toyota. Inevitably, a head-gasket will break or the transmission will go out which will lead to costly repairs. These can quickly add up in costs which, coupled with maintenance, can be hard for a low-budget car owner to keep up with.

The vehicle seems to withstand a beating, a great work truck. Not much space in the cab but space may not be necessary for everybody. The truck is not very fast, and not great on gas, but if can carry furniture and such from one location to another. It is better than most other trucks on MPG. It is a manual transmission, which helps with gas. The parts to replace are generally inexpensive and readily available. The vehicle does not require much maintenance and if it does, it is usually a simple process to resolve. The interior is nice as it does not stain easily. The ride is smooth, not much shaking or strange noises from anywhere. Cold A/C, lights in the dashboard, and bright paint which only is included in special Edge edition models of the vehicle. There are plenty of cup holders co... (more)
Story
I enjoyed having this vehicle to move with. it was nice not having to rent a huge and expensive machine to help with the process. This truck did absolutely everything I needed it to do.
Pros
I like the interior, the fact that it is easy to clean and maintain, and the comfort of the armrest.
Cons
I do not like that it is not great on gas, tires can be pricey as they are larger than most cars, and I am thinking I would like more room in my vehicle such as a back seat or a trunk.

They had a hard to resist new years special and discounts. Plus many cars to choose from. The staff is very helpful and not that pushy, so I never felt any pressure.

Very close to home people were very kind and understanding in no rush worked with me. I also know the workers up there so I knew what I was getting myself into.
