Ford Ranger Owner Ratings & Reviews

1996 Ford Ranger - Oldie but goodie
I first purchased my Ford Ranger in the year 2000. It was originally intended to be used for my business. However, it just so happened that this great truck also was a lot of fun. We regularly drove it on weekend fishing/camping trip. As well as regular trips to the next state (Louisiana). There was never breakdown or mechanical failure.
Story
While night fishing from the shore in Tx City A few years ago, I caught a 44" Bull red. After letting it get exercise for about 20 min, it finally got enough to reel in. There was only one problem...the cooler was too small for this monster. We ended up putting it in the truck's toolbox and packing lots of ice on top. Actually, it was a perfect fit. When we arrived back in Houston, everyone wa... (more)
Pros
Though my Ranger is a fairly simple truck and not at all new, it was kept in excellent condition and a lot of fun to drive. Believe it or not, this truck has over 200,000 miles. Even with high mileage, it performs well. Of course, I kept up with regular maintenance, etc.. The timing belt has been changed twice, just in case. Not too many fancy features to report, but this is a good quality vehicle which has always been very dependable.
Cons
I am 6'1" and could use a little more head room. Also, it's a standard cab. So after a taking a long trip, you might wish it was the extended cab model. It has no electric windows, tilt or cruise control.
2007 Ford Ranger - A cheaper version of what really wanted
I love the style of the truck. It is very minimal. The inside appears to be dated or of that of an older model, but I don't particularly care. I love the material of the seat, and especially love the rugged, tough, durable flooring instead of carpet. I love the look of the truck itself. I was going to get a Toyota Tacoma TRD, but I can not afford that yet. This was my second choice. I appreciate it's minimalism as I stated previously. I also don't like a huge truck, but needed a bed, so this is perfect. The truck is exceptionally comfortable to drive in. I require a bit more space than most, so I chose the extended cab. I feel completely comfortable driving this truck. The truck has more than enough room in the bed, and has the proper amount of room for an extended cab. I would have pr... (more)

Houston, TX Dealer Ratings & Reviews

2011 Ford Ranger - Planet Ford Lincoln Spring
They were one nearby dealership at the time who had the exact truck I wanted. The trucks were popular and hard to find, but this dealership had one on the lot.
2007 Ford Ranger - Joe Myers Ford Houston
This dealership was the best for me personally because I had been looking for this make and model of Ford Ranger for a long time before getting proper treatment from a dealership. They worked with me on the price, and they didn't push the deal too much. They had a wide selection, and I was able to find exactly what I wanted to within the day.
