1998 Ford Ranger - Best vehicle I've ever owned
Gas Mileage was great. I traveled 40 miles each way for over a year in this truck. Previous vehicles would take a half a tank of gas each way. Not this truck, it would be a quarter tank as long as I kept up on the daily maintenance.
Smooth Ride. I have back issues. Driving in a car or truck hurts me most times. This truck had a very comfortable driving experience for me.
Was not too high off the ground. Again I have issues getting in and out of the more bigger common sized trucks. This one was a breeze to get in and out of even for me.
This truck lasted me a very long time, 6 years, and it was already very old with over 200,000 miles on it when I bought it.

Story
The most fun I had in this truck was going to snow covered empty parking lots and doing doughnuts in it. It had enough power and traction to handle and never lose control. I loved getting sideways in it in the parking lots as well. My kids loved sliding in the snow.
Pros
Not a gas hog. The truck bed was big enough to do lots of moving and hauling. Smooth ride. Easy to find parts for. Easy to fix; not hard to work on.
Cons
Could only seat 3 people in the front uncomfortably. Fit two people better. It was an extended cab but had little seats. You had to be child size to fit. Cost of some of the parts were high.
