I got this little truck a few weeks ago. It's a nice truck. It is not too big and not too little, and it gets great gas mileage. I also like the fact that it is a stick shift and not automatic. The color, which is sort of an off blue, is not exactly what I wanted, but it does the job. Old truck drives out nice.
Story
I got up early last Saturday morning and took it down to the creek and fished for about four or five hours. Then I cleaned the fish in the bed of the truck.
Pros
The pros for this truck would be that it gets great gas mileage, has a stick shift which I love, and, overall, I think the truck has a nice profile. It's an older truck, but it is holding up well, and the tires on it are great. I also really enjoy the fact that it has a sliding glass in the back window, so if you want to throw something in the back while you're riding down the road, you don't have to stop and get out to put it in the bed of the truck.
Cons
The biggest negative here would be the color. It was an older truck, and it's not like I can go to the showroom and pick out a new color. Still, the color of the truck does not really detract from the overall value of it to me. Also, the tailgate sticks a little.

1996 Ford Ranger - Great truck around the house.

We needed a truck when we bought our new house. We have a wood stove, and I need to be able to haul firewood and a trailer. This is my first truck. And it fits the bill nicely. I didn't want a huge truck. This truck also works to carry around a few kids in the jump seats when we want to go bike riding. I made a bike rack for the bed of the truck.
Story
My four-year old daughter loves getting in my truck and playing with the radio.
Pros
I simply love having a truck. I'm the guy with the truck now. You need help with a couch? I can help. You need help with some firewood? I can grab my chain saw and help. This truck is a great size for me. It does the work I need it to do. I put a Reece hitch on it, so I can haul a trailer if something bigger is needed. It's a 1996, and it's still running. Love it!
Cons
The heater control valve has gone bad on this truck two times now. It is a cheap plastic part, and that part costs about $30. And when it breaks, the whole truck overheats. That part is the bane of this truck so far.
