Ford Ranger Owner Ratings & Reviews

1993 Ford Ranger - Reliable
This truck is reliable and steadfast. I took her for my newspaper delivery route—120 miles every day through country roads for three months and wore all four tires bare, but she still kept ticking along. I've put 150,000 miles on her now, and I'm only just starting to have trouble.
Story
I took this truck to a gun range in the middle of the mountains, and the roads were significantly more muddy than I thought they were. I was worried I was going to get stuck, but despite being rear-wheel drive, she managed to pull me straight through muddy dirt roads in the middle of nowhere without getting stuck once.
Pros
I love the body—this truck is small enough to not be overbearing but is still large enough to get the job done. And for a truck of her size, she gets fantastic MPG. I have, so far, had a decent job doing my own repairs on her without needing to hire a mechanic, which is a plus in my book.
Cons
There is absolutely no acceleration to speak of. The transmission has been replaced, but she still bottoms out at 75 mph and refuses to go faster. Furthermore, the 1993 model I have is rear-wheel drive—a poor choice for a truck. I have to keep 400 pounds of sand in the back just to keep her from fishtailing in poor weather.
2019 Ford Ranger - Such a wonderful car, more comfortable and more spacy.
Wish it was more comfortable and more spacious. Difficult to handle the car.
Story
One day I planned a trip to the hills with my friends. There the vehicle got stuck in mud. But the vehicle has a four wheel drive, so its was easily taken out.
Pros
Engines is more smooth and braking condition is excellent.
Cons
I think mileage of the vehicle is disappointing.
