The 1999 Ford Mustang is an appealing car in many ways. I found it to be a very powerful car that was a pleasure to drive. I've never had as much fun driving a car as I did with this one, either before or after I gave up the car. The car was an appealing, shiny red and was remarkably reliable for an American sports car. It's a car I would be willing to purchase again in the future in most circumstances.
Story
I drove the car on multiple 500+ mile trips. It was great for a road trip.
Pros
The car's performance was excellent. It felt and performed like a fast car. I found that it lasted for more than 14 years without any cases of serious failures or maintenance work. The style was appealing, and I found that the car adapted well to both day-to-day driving and more long distance highway driving. Many people remarked on how gorgeous they found the car to be.
Cons
The main down side of the car is that it did not perform well in inclement weather, particularly the sorts of heavy snow and ice that one gets in the American Midwest. The car is a rear wheel drive, which helps with performance but hurts in the weather. The car does not have traction control, which is also something that does the car no great favors.
