2002 Ford Mustang - Power for the Price!
I had a 2002 Mustang GT with a manual transmission - man this car was fun! I primarily drove it to work which was only a few miles a day, but I always looked forward to the drive. I also used the car for autocross racing, which was a lot of fun but a bit sub-optimal since the Mustang GTs is not known for its performance on a tight road course (which most of the autocross tracks are).
Modifications: the car was mostly stock but I made a few (critical) upgrades that every Mustang owner should really make: Flowmaster exhaust, cold air intake, K&N air filter, short-shifter, custom shift knob, 10 inch sub-woofer (nice addition to the Ford Mach Audio System)
Exterior: Great, aggressive looks...black or dark silver looks best on this car. The premium alloy wheels are a must. The doors are... (more)
Pros
Straight line performance, engine growl and fun!
Cons
Backseat? What backseat? Does not convey sophistication...but that is not the point!
1987 Ford Mustang - The vehicle is tough
My Ford Mustang was a red thirty-fifth anniversary powerhouse. The most predominant pro was the amount of power, and speed generated by this machine. The color red was, definitely, something to be proud of; that gorgeous color and the name mustang, for some reason, just goes perfect together. The thirty-fifth edition of the mustang came out in the year 1999, so it has definitely held up against the test of time. I purchased my vehicle my senior year in high-school, so I have very fond memories that will nearly bring a tear to my eye when I reminisce.
Pros
My mustang rarely had to visit the mechanic, but when it had to be fixed, the cost was extremely low. Since the Mustang is an American car there were no need to import any parts, and the labor came at a very fair rate versus German made vehicles such as the BMW.
Cons
The most prolific con regarding a red mustang was the cost of insurance. Though, the cost of insurance was great, the joy that car brought me was far greater.
