2009 Ford Fusion - 2009 Ford Fusion: Everything you could ask for in an affordable package.
The 2009 Ford Fusion is an incredible vehicle. I knew I wanted this vehicle before I walked into the dealership. The car has very high ratings in reliability and safety with many reviews to support this. The Fusion gets fair gas mileage for a vehicle of its class (~18/26mpg) and runs like a champ. The v6 engine makes itself known. I have had several friends and family comment on how surprised they were at the power of the engine: "I didn't expect this car to move like that!". My Fusion has been very reliable and has only needed light service occasionally. The style and the comfort of the Fusion should not be understated. You're getting quality at a very solid price.
Story
I will cherish the memory of driving this vehicle with my brother across several states. There was plenty of room for both us and all the things we bought along the trip. Fantastic car and a great trip.
Pros
The top selling point of this car has to be the cost. You're getting a good deal here. Fantastic engine, quality style, quality comfort and superior reliability.
Cons
There are a few recalls/defects when this model of the Fusion. The most important being a defect found in the passenger side air bag and a faulty part of the air conditioning. It is a very cheap part, but to replace it requires several hours of work.
2010 Ford Fusion - Ford Fusion. Most reliable car I've owned.
I love the interior design, it's roomy and comfortable. It gets really good gas mileage, 35-40 hwy. Nice features, i.e., power windows, sunroof, traction control. Sleek design for its era. It is still very attractive compared to today's models.
Story
Driving to the beach, windows down sunroof open on a really beautiful day. This car makes these kinds of trips like traveling with your best friend.
Pros
Standard transmission. Sunroof. Great mileage, very comfortable. Reliable and very easy to drive.
Cons
It did fall under the bad throttle body era of Ford cars. I easily replaced it and have not had any issues. It is slightly louder inside when I'm traveling than in other cars.
