2009 Ford Fusion - Best Car ever!
The 2009 Ford Fusion is an awesome car! It is a mid-sized sedan, seats 5 comfortably. Everyone will always have leg room. The rear seats drop down to give easy access to the trunk, and it has locks for car seats if needed. There is tons of storage space: a compartment in the dash, the glove compartment, and a dual compartment in the center console. There is also a storage area in front of the driving shaft. The trunk is very large, and can fit everything you need for a weekend on the town in a nearby city, or every bit of camping gear for a 3-week road trip. The back seat doesn't have the best air conditioning, particularly because of the placement of the vents. The front has great AC speeds, though sometimes I wish it had a half speed because it's too good! The driver's seat is adjust... (more)
Story
ROAD TRIP! X3. We've taken 3 cross-country (US) trips, each were ~3weeks long. Car has great performance, storage capacity, etc. Even does pretty well on off-roads.
Pros
My absolute favorite feature is the cubby in the dash! It's perfect for a garage door opener, pencil, etc, and is sneaky! The car is definitely roomy, and has enough space for someone who likes to spread out or who has a growing family.
Cons
My least favorite thing about this car is that the entire interior is all black... It heats up soooo fast. Also, the trunk can be stubborn about opening with the unlock from the key sometimes.
2008 Ford Fusion - Solid, dependable and comfortable - just like grandpa.
While I did not initially love my car, I have come to greatly appreciate it. Sure, the styling is boring - but it's not hideous. The 6 cylinder engine has a decent amount of power, but the gas mileage is not thrilling. It seats 5 people comfortably, kind of surprising for a mid-size sedan, but I never wanted to be the person who drives around 4 other people. At 140,000 miles, I've had to do literally no work except for preventative maintenance. I like to joke that I'll buy something fun when my boring car dies - but it is obviously never going to stop chugging along, carting my family around to school and work and piano lessons. I won't be surprised if I end up passing it down to my son 10 years from now when he turns 16. Then it can be his boring car and I'm sure it will serve him jus... (more)
Story
Please. This car is not fun or memorable. I guess I am really pleased that it has always gotten me where I need to go. So that's memorable.
Pros
Well, my previous car had been totaled by a drunk driver and I was in need of something quickly before insurance money ran out. Fusions were plentiful at dealerships so it wasn't too difficult to hunt one down. Ford's Sync was a huge plus. The V6 option sweetened the deal. The price sold me.
Cons
It's a sedan and I would much prefer to drive something smaller. Ford no longer supports Sync and it is quite buggy these days. The gas mileage is really embarrassing, especially in light of the Fusion Hybrid's numbers.
