2008 Ford Fusion - My Ford Fusion
I have a 2008 Ford Fusion. What I like about the car is that it is very roomy. I am a large woman, and the car feels like a SUV. I dislike that the interior of the car isn't as Ford tough as I would like. The inside handle broke and other cosmetic things have went wrong.
Story
My family drove this car from Chicago to Florida last summer. We all fit with more than enough room. Even though the trip was about 14 hours, we felt secure that we would make it because the car is reliable.
Pros
I love the roomy trunk. I have a large family and grocery shop a lot. The truck supports all of my family's bags. Another pro is a little gas goes a long way. I also like the sedan feel of this vehicle. I always feel prestigious when riding and driving in my car.
Cons
Again, the cons are that this car has a lot of cosmetic defects. The back door will not open from the inside. The driver door will not open from the inside. The interior rear view mirror has been replaced several times, and the tail light bulbs need to be replaced too often.
2011 Ford Fusion - My Ford Fusion is a reliable enough vehicle, but we've had a few bumps along the way.
It gets me from point A to point B reliably, safely, and economically. It doesn't have the pep that I'd prefer, but the gas mileage is still excellent after the five years I've owned it. The A/C and heat are still very nice, though the A/C did seem to struggle this past summer. I went with cloth interior, and it is holding up perfectly. It even held its own against spilled chicken broth. It has had several recalls on various parts though (gas tank, etc.). I believe there have been 3-4, but the upside is they were all repaired/replaced for free. The driver side door handle randomly broke one morning this past summer too. Simple to fix though and was able to buy the part and do it myself. Considering the vehicle is 7-ish years old now, it has held up well, in my opinion.
Story
It may be weird, but driving the car from my house to the dealership to get the power steering fixed was very exciting and the most memorable time I've had with the car. Money was tight so I wasn't going to waste any on a tow truck. At first it was scary and hard, but once I got going, it really felt like an accomplishment.
Pros
The fuel economy is great. Good amount of trunk space. I have had no issues buying furniture and TVs and getting them safely home.
Cons
Multiple recalls had me spending several hours at the dealership. The power steering went out with very little warning. The response time between pressing the gas pedal and when the forward movement begins is significant. I take a slow turn almost every day, and once the car completes, it basically coasts for a good two seconds before it starts to recognize I'm pressing the gas.

2013 Ford Fusion - Mccarthy Ford Chicago
It was a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. I felt no pressure to buy a particular car o to buy a car that day. I feel like the dealer walked me through the car buying process with care and consideration.
