2013 Ford Fusion - Fractured Fusion dream
Upon buying the newly restyled 2013 Ford Fusion SE, I thought I was getting a greatly designed, well running car. From its looks, it seemed the part, but after a few months of ownership, I quickly realized that it was not what it seemed.
Story
I really put the car through its paces on the backroads in my area, to see what it was capable of. Its a capable car in total.
Pros
The 2013 Fusion has sleek styling inside and out, this model was the first of the complete redesign to a larger more aerodynamic car. The car is adequately powered with a spritely four cylinder with a pretty decent transmission. Plenty of get up and go for everyday driving.
Cons
Over time, the 2013 Fusion began to show its shortcomings in some pretty major ways. Starting with electrical issues. The onboard computer had to be replaced due to an issue with the airbags being nonfunctional because of an error. I was driving this thing around for almost a year when I got a notice about it. The seatbelt anchors had to replaced, and a leaky windshield also. Little fit and finish bits seemed to wear quickly. The seats are a major complaint. 2010 Ford Fusion - Fused Into My Life
I absolutely love my Ford Fusion. It was my second car I owned (I was a Toyota owner at first) and I think I love it the most. I'm usually a truck girl, but this car is amazing. It handles well, the interior is big enough for me and my kids, and it still travels well over 20,000 miles. The only thing that I don't like about it is that it isn't as spacious as I would want it, but that's more of a personal preference. When I first purchased my Fusion I was afraid that since it was an older model it would be a disappointment, but I was so wrong. I have rarely had to take my car back to the dealership for any work and I've never had a problem with the engine.
Story
When I first got my Ford Fusion, I was working an hour away and had to use my brother's truck (a true gas-guzzler) to get there before I got my car. I remember when I first brought it to work, my friends and I all took pictures with it like it was our new best friend.
Pros
One of my favorite features in my car is the SiriusXM radio. It gives us more variety from when it's just my husband and me traveling to when it's the whole family. I also love that my car takes E85 gas and it travels very far for only a small amount.
Cons
Again, my only dislike is that there isn't much room in the backseat for anything but people.
