2013 Ford Fusion Hybrid - Owning this vehicle has been a roller coaster ride
We specifically wanted to buy a hybrid. We put a lot of miles on a vehicle, around 30,000 miles per year, and thought this would be more economical. We also wanted a mid-size car that was comfortable and roomy for long trips.
Story
My most memorable story was the car breaking after 17 days and waiting seven weeks to get it back. The dealer did provide us with a loaner during this time. We are retired and only own one car and the new car warranty was still in effect.
Pros
The car seems well built and solid. The seats are very comfortable-more comfortable than the Toyota Camry we previously owned. The ride is comfortable and handles reasonably well.
Cons
The car was one year old with 14,000 miles on it when we purchased it. Unfortunately, 17 days after we drove it off the lot, it broke down. Long story short-it was in the car dealers garage for seven weeks before they could figure out what was wrong and fix the problem(s). The major problem was the transmission had to be replaced! Fortunately, I have a close family member who contacted a Ford representative in Washington DC. He contacted someone at Ford and we were given a free 75,000 mile bumper to bumper warranty. 2017 Ford Fusion Hybrid - Drive a hybrid, fall in love
I bought my car with 40,000 miles and have driven 6,000 miles since. I haven't had a single problem with rattles, fluids, or body. The gas mileage is amazing, and I can't believe the comfort on the interior. I have plenty of room for my kids in the back with their car seats, and my 6'1" tall husband is comfortable without encroaching on their space. The sound system took me by surprise as it is much better than I would have thought for a lower level trim. I still have plenty of trunk space, even with my battery taking up space. The only downside is it can get pretty hot in here and the A/C can really affect the mpg!
Story
Driving to Michigan from Pennsylvania and back with a loaded car was so comfy and fun!
Pros
Mpg is amazing, comfortable.
Cons
Hot easily. A/C affects mpg.
