I liked the size of the interior. I like the fact that you can run full electric or hybrid mode or just run off gas. The radio is amazing, and it comes with the full navigation touchscreen. The seats are comfortable and in leather. The Fusion Energi has a handsome exterior, high-quality interior appointments, and room for five (although the batteries reduce the trunk space somewhat). Driven normally, it can travel up to 20 miles and at speeds up to 85 mph on electric power before the gasoline engine kicks on. After that, the hybrid power plant earns 38 mpg combined, a few less than the regular Fusion Hybrid.

Pros
The Fusion Energi is designed to function like an electric vehicle for the first 20 miles. That means if you have a commute within that range and a charge station at your destination, you can go completely electric with the reassurance that you can switch to the hybrid mode when it's needed. This car is equipped with the fantastic SYNC 3 system that functions like a smart phone touchscreen with intuitive swipe and gesture input and virtual buttons. Cons
The Fusion Energi’s gas mileage doesn’t match that of its competitors at 43/41 mpg. It might be forgiven since it delivers more power than the Volt, but the Sonata packs more horsepower and better gas mileage. If fuel economy is a major factor in your decision making, the Fusion is not the best in its niche. The Fusion Energi can’t match the range that competitor models can deliver, going only 21 miles on a single charge. The Volt more than doubles this range. If driving on electric only is important to you, you can find better performance elsewhere.

My 2017 Ford Fusion Energy has been a pretty dependable car. It is comfortable, seats five nicely. The leather seats are great for cleanability. I love the options that are on this car: heated driver and passenger seats, Ford Sync music system, navigation system, electric seats, electric side view mirror controls, cruise control, sun roof, rear park assist, lane assist, collision warning system to name a few. I can't think of anything else I would want in a car. The car is an electric/gas hybrid, and will drive approximately 13 miles on electricity before it switches over to gas. This means I can drive around town on electricity only.
Story
The most fun I've had is simply driving around town one gorgeous day with the sun roof and window wide open. Knowing I wasn't using any gas made it glorious!
Pros
50 MPG is hard to beat! I often can get 500 miles on a tank of gas, and it only costs about $30 to fill up. The collision warning system has literally been a life saver; there have been a few times during my freeway commute that those in front of me have slammed on their brakes. The Ford collision warning system reacts immediately by sending out a series of loud beeps, while simultaneously slowing the car down rapidly. There are quite a few things I would consider "pros" on this car.
Cons
There is only one negative thing I've noticed. The air conditioning system has cut out on me at least three times each summer since I've owned it. The fan just cuts out. I've taken it to the dealer, and they replaced a sensor but it still cuts out. It's so random and very difficult for the dealer to recreate.

The car looks somewhat compact on the outside, however, roomy on the inside. Passengers have stated the backseat has ample leg room. I have not yet had to bring it in for mechanical issues except normal wear and tear, tires, oil change, brakes. The disadvantage of this car is that the lights do not automatically go on at dusk and off when the car turns off. They are manual. Although I have gotten use to this, if another family member drives the car, it has to be reminded. The trunk is very spacious. The car is not noisy at all. I have noticed one very small blind spot, but it is not an issue. The mileage has been great. I commute about 25 - 30 minutes away Monday through Friday and fill up about once a week. Story
The Ford fits a car seat nice and snug in the back seat. We were without one for years, but had to put one in with the birth of our second grandson. We were responsible for caring for our 3 year old grandson when his brother was born. We felt we could safely transport him to the hospital to see his baby brother and parents in the Ford.
Pros
My favorite feature of the car is the built in sync, Sirius radio and sunroof. The car's gas mileage has put money in my pocket compared to other vehicles I have driven. Braking is fantastic and the car has front wheel drive which helps a great deal in bad weather. The car has been trouble free except for routine maintenance. I can easily get on and off the interstate without issue as it accelerates rapidly and is very smooth without jerkiness when doing so. Cons
The top negative on the Ford Fusion would be the manual lights. The lights must be turned on and off. They do not go on automatically at dusk or on rainy days when it is dark and gloomy. The lights also must be turned off manually when the car is turned off. This was difficult to remember initially and must be constantly reminded when other family members take the Ford instead of another model we own.
