2007 Ford Freestar - Reliable van
This van has been very reliable for us over the years that we have had it. We purchased it with cash, so it made this an easy transaction. The van has plenty of room, and the storage in the back is great. I like that you can fold down the back seat into the floor, but I wish the two bucket seats would have been stow and go. The van did not have cruise control and is one of the things that I really disliked. Overall, this is a good van for everyday use.
Story
When we stuffed our mattress in the back of the van and drove it with the back door open around town.
Pros
There is plenty of space and the storage room that you have in the back of the van is great. Even if you leave the back seat up you can fit plenty of stuff in the back. If you need more room, you are able to fold the back seat down in order to give you more space to put things.
Cons
One of the main issues I have with the van is that there is no cruise control. This made long trips more difficult and annoying. One other thing that I disliked is that there was only one set of car seat clips in the middle of the back seat opposed to having one on each side.
2007 Ford Freestar - Comfortable, spacious, lots of storage, classy
I really enjoy the comfort of the seats, as well as the ample leg room. I have leather seats which are so easy to clean! I think the addition of the dvd player has added quite a bit of enjoyment for my passengers. I never worry about something breaking, or needing replaced inside the vehicle- everything is sturdy and well made. I feel very safe in it, and I would buy another one if we needed to. I love the smooth ride, even on rocky surfaces, I love that there is very slight outside noise pollution. I have driven this van in the snow, and it handles very well. I don't feel any slippage ever, and it gets up to speed within seconds. I have had only minor repairs and have not had to replace anything that a local mechanic friend couldn't handle for under a couple hundred dollars.
Story
Driving to Walt Disney World was a piece of cake! We even spent a few hours napping in the vehicle over night. It could have been a long trip, but in this van the hours seemed to fly by!
Pros
Room, DVD Player, Leather Seats, Storage Space, comfort of driving and being a passenger, smooth ride.
Cons
Gas mileage could have been better, not much difference than an older truck I had been driving. Center console isn't very storage friendly. Wish that year had had more color choices.
