I financed this vehicle used in 2014. It was a 2004 model with 120,000 miles. It seemed like it had very nice basic features, but within 30 minutes of driving it off the car lot, it started having problems. The dealer said they had just received the vehicle that day, so I believe some of the initiate problems I experienced were due to the dealership not performing a full inspection before they sold it. Other problems do not seem to be related to that. I am still driving it, but plan to shop for a different car within a month.
Story
I wouldn't say it was fun, but I was very relieved to have the van when I needed to help my mother move. I was great to be able to lower the back seats and make room to move things like a kitchen table, a recliner, and many boxes.
Pros
I was pleased with the basic comforts of the vehicle- heated leather seats, several cup holders and outlets to plug in cell phone chargers, a digital mileage and message center display. I also liked how the back seats could fold down if you need extra storage space.
Cons
Within one month of having the vehicle, the air conditioning went out. The Freon was fully charged at the time the air conditioning went out. I required a full system flush. Within six months of having the vehicle, the front passenger heat seat stopped working. Within one year, the mechanism that allows you to lower and raise the front windows went out. The motors for the window were good- it was the device that connects to the button that you push to lower and raise the windows were bad, and cost $90 per window to fix (a big annoyance, considering the motor itself would have only cost $40... We got this in 2016, so at 12 years old. It has a lot of rattles, and there are parts that scratch you if you sit on the seat wrong. Visually, it is in pretty good shape, besides a bit of rust along the bottom. This is a fairly no-frills vehicle. It will hold 7 people, and has trunk room. the middle seat is removable, and the seats lay down as well. When we got it, cruise control didn't work, and neither did the CD player.
Story
We took our Mastiff mix to the dog park. He loved sitting in the middle seat by himself and looking out the windows!
Pros
My favorite feature is the tilt steering wheel. I'm a bigger woman, and this allows me to not have to move the seat much when my husband drives. My second favorite feature is the little mirror that flips down from the ceiling that allows me to see the whole back seats.
Cons
The mirror controls didn't work, so I had to manually adjust them. The locks would look locked, but the doors would still open sometimes. Someone shut the trunk too hard, and the latch broke! The materials used seem cheap. The gas mileage in this is horrible. Also, the caliper in the back went back. That would be understandable because the vehicle is old, but after having it replaced, it went bad again a couple months later. It just seemed that this van doesn't hold together very well.
