2010 Ford Focus - Great Car!
I really love this car! It is the first car I bought on my own, and after a lot of shopping, I kept coming back to this one. The service is easy and cheap, and all I've ever had to do was change the oil and a few other basic maintenance things. I've put 75,000.00 Miles on this car in only a few years, and it is still running like a top. I've done a lot of traveling and road trips all across the U.S. And never had a problem.
Story
I used this car to road trip from the Midwest all the way to New Jersey. 27 Hours, hundreds of cups of coffee, and lots of silly stories!
Pros
The first positive thing about this car is the reliability. I have never had a single problem with this car, and I always know that no matter the weather or situation, it will start up and run great. I love the size - perfect for a small car, but still enough room to sit five without feeling cramped. I also love the trunk space - it fits my 88-key stage piano by laying down the back seat - and you can fit a lot of stuff in there (I've moved an entire studio apartment in one trip).
Cons
The only real negative about this car is the trunk opening - while there is a lot of space, the opening itself is a little small, making it difficult to get bulky items into the trunk at times - although they fit once you get them through the opening. I also had to replace the battery after a few glitches, but otherwise this car has been fantastic!
2012 Ford Focus - A reliable, quality ride at a great price
The 2012 Ford Focus SE is one of the finest vehicles I have ever purchased. Although not as powerful as some of the V-6/V-8 vehicles that I have driven before, the 2012 Ford Focus SE is both extremely reliable and very reasonably priced. For less than $19,000, this vehicle has provided seven years of nearly maintenance-free driving spanning over 125,000 miles, making this vehicle one of the best values available as well.
Story
I have driven this vehicle many times to the beach including an impromptu midnight excursion in order to get a jump on the Fourth of July weekend.
Pros
The 2012 Ford Focus SE gets among the best gas mileage of any non-hybrid, non-electric car. Getting 40 mpg on the interstate was a not uncommon occurrence, and the acceleration was quite smooth for a four-cylinder engine. The Ford Focus has enough room to seat four people comfortably, even with a car seat in the back. The trunk space is surprisingly spacious for a compact car, and three medium-sized suitcases can fit within the trunk without too much difficulty. Cons
One drawback of the 2012 Ford Focus SE is that it is somewhat limited technology as more recent advances such as hands-free calling and voice-activated Internet technology are not present in this model. The hubcaps are made of cheap plastic in this model and do not survive over time in harsh weather conditions.
