2014 Ford Focus - Point A to Point B. Not much else.
The car is very comfortable, especially if you can find one with a leather interior. The features are modern and conveniently accessible. I particularly enjoy the size of the vehicle. It is very spacious on the inside but compact enough to fit into small spaces. The biggest complaints I have about the car are the "My Key" limiter and the transmission reliability. I have had issues with the clutch actuators, and the my key functionality being engaged. I was forced to buy a new key to be able to remove the limiter. Otherwise, the acceleration is a lot better than I expect in a four-cylinder car. It has a very sleek look to it. Parts are relatively inexpensive due to the accessibility of the car.
Story
My dog loves the car, particularly because the backseat is so roomy. He gets excited anytime I even say the word "car."
Pros
It's a comfortable car, and it is very affordable. There is a lot of room in the trunk. I am a soccer coach and am able to fit my teams equipment and my golf clubs in the trunk with ease. The back seat can get cramped if you have three people back there but with two rear passengers it is very roomy. My favorite features are the stereo and the voice controls.
Cons
I may have gotten a lemon, but the car seems to shudder a bit. This could be because of the new transmission technology (powershift) that Ford implemented. There was a large recall on the transmission so it is inconvenient to have to take the car to the shop for the work. The My Key system is inconvenient, it's impossible to remove with just one key.
2014 Ford Focus - Easy maintenance vehicle
I own a 2014 Ford Focus. I love the fact that it is so easy on gas. I pay $20 a week in gas, and it gets me 400 miles. I dislike how it doesn't really stand out from other vehicles, so I tend to forget where I parked. This is a great family vehicle though. It's easy to clean. The worse mess we had was when my son was playing with playdough and got all over my back seats. It was an easy clean up.
Story
We went to New Orleans with my son and my husband. We had a blast driving there listening to music.
Pros
I love the fact that the heat kicks on right away and warms up the car fast and A/C, too! I also love how compact the car is when it fits into tight parking spots, but it's also big enough for our jogging stroller, which is great. Where I lived when we first purchased the vehicle, it was a small town with little parking, so the steering and everything was easy to use.
Cons
A con would be that it is a little small. We are a four person family and a dog, so it can get a little tight. Another con would be that there is a slight blind spot when your driving its on your left. Our jogging stroller does fit into the car, but when we go to get it out, we have maneuver it a certain way to get it out.
