2006 Ford Focus - Positive Experiences with the Ford Focus
The Ford Focus is the kind of car that you can depend on to get you back and forth to work, pick up the kids after school, and also get you to your parents house on the weekends. It has enough space for a family of 3 or even 4 comfortably, and can be surprisingly efficient. It handles very well on the road, and steers very nicely when going on winding roads. It can have enough power when you need it, but this is not the car's high point. It is a fuel efficient car, and one that is dependable when you need it to get you from Point A to point B.
Story
We had a fun family trip to the beach from our home to South Carolina, and we could pack everything we needed in the car. That was a very fun trip.
Pros
The sporty look of the car was nice, and even a little surprising. Also the interior design was nice as well. The great fuel efficiency allowed the car to be a "go to" when gas prices were very high. Also, for being a small car it still had enough room for my family.
Cons
While the car performed very positively overall, there were a few negative points that should be mentioned. First, the car took time to accelerate and did not have a lot of power to pass other cars on the highway. This was especially true when there were a few people in the car. Also, some of the dashboard design was a little bit more difficult to get used to at first, and was not intuitive. However, overall, the pros strongly outweighed the cons for the Focus.
2008 Ford Focus - Good, Reliable Cat
I really like this car. The trunk is very roomy for a small car and can fit my kid's wagon in it with no problem. We have also been able to flip the back seat down and haul long things like new furniture still in the box (pre-assembly). The car is also very reliable and I haven't had too many 'big problems' with it since getting it.
Story
We drove my husband's 'bigger' car to go pick up some furniture, but it didn't fit. Came back with my little car, and it was a breeze.
Pros
Roomy trunk is great. It gets great gas mileage, so I don't spend much money at the pump. It drives really well and isn't too close to the ground. It has been a reliable car for almost 7 years for me with very few major issues to address.
Cons
There was a recall on one part of it that I had to get fixed a few years back. It's definitely a smaller car, and you can only fit 5 people in it. The back seat is a bit squashed with my child's car seat back there. The dashboard makes a bit of a rattling noise sometimes, but it hasn't affected any function so I haven't cared to get it fixed. Also, it was a bit pricey for a small compact car, but hopefully it has held its value.

The dealership has always treated my family well and they were able to help me out when I wanted to trade in my 2002 Dodge Stratus. There were able to give me a fair deal when it came my trade. My Stratus had 100,000 miles on it and I was still able to get my Focus for 7500 OTD!! with only 30,000 miles on it! Best dealership in town! Thanks!
