2013 Ford Fiesta - Fun, but...
The Fiesta is a fun little car to drive. It handles well and is zippy. Quality sound system and comfortable for a small car. The gas mileage is great. Price is reasonable. But the transmission is a nightmare. Shudders when starting from a stop. Never really able to fix it even though we took it to dealer for work several times.
Story
Took it on a few long road trips. Once got caught in blizzard in the mountains. It handled well but I was white knocked for the whole time.
Pros
Fun, great mileage, ample room for compact, great price, US made.
Cons
The transmission shudders and shimmies.
2016 Ford Fiesta -
I like the mpg. It is great because I drive a lot for school and work. It performs very smooth. Sometimes it has issues when it is close to needing a oil change. I'd change that problem if I could. But I'm pretty sure it's an underlying engine problem. It's costly to fix it to begin with. It is great, good mpg, and very safe. I especially appreciate the look and the unique neon green color it is. I love being able to be comfortable in it as well, which is a huge plus.
Pros
The Bluetooth and the radio are one of my fave things about this vehicle. It is great to be able to connect my phone to it, so it's hands free in case I get a call, or if I want to listen to Pandora or Spotify, I can listen to it off my phone via Bluetooth. Navigation when it's active is good too because the directions play through the speakers as well.
Cons
The need to get maintenance every month it seems, whether it needs a oil change, battery, or filter. It is always something, and I don't drive it much except for two days a week. So it isn't like it is heavily used really, I've spent 6,000 in upkeep in the last year on it. So, no, I won't get this car again.
