2011 Ford Fiesta -
Overall, I'd probably recommend the Ford Fiesta to someone else. It is pretty durable and for the most part, dependable. There's never been any major issues except one, with the transmission control module. The indicators still work and the car is easy to control and drive. It has a surprising amount of trunk room.
Story
I've taken this car on alot of weekend trips and she always held up. The good mileage saved me on a few ocassions on the interestate when any other car would have surely run out of gas.
Pros
This vehicle has held up pretty well despite high mileage (over 100,000 miles). It gets good mileage (30-40 miles/gallon) and is very maneuverable. It's easy to control, too. In addition, acceleration is quite rapid. The original battery lasted 5 and one half years. The car is fun to drive as well.
Cons
The interior is cramped so it would probably not be a good choice for someone who is tall. I only experienced one major issue with the car. It needed a new transmission control module after 86,000 miles. So I am wary how much I drive it anymore, hence the purchase of a secondary car. Some of the front paneling seems rather cheaply made, as it can pop out of place.
2007 Ford Fiesta - Great, affordable, reliable
First off, I have a Ford Focus (not in the dropdown list), not a Fiesta. The Ford Focus is a reliable and affordable vehicle. It has gotten me to and from work with little hassle and very little time in the shop. If you keep up with the maintenance it will last a long time under general use.
Story
Carpooling to work with my co-workers was always a good time, but my favorite times in the car are alone, windows down on a sunny, warm day, listening to my favorite music.
Pros
Peppy, the Ford Focus will get you around traffic easily pass most cars on the highway when you need to get somewhere fast. The car handles well, even at high speed and maintains traction even in wet / icy conditions. The trunk has plenty of cargo space and the backseat folds down for extra storage. Gas mileage is another positive, averaging about 30MPG between my on and off highway commute to and from work each day.
Cons
Size is a bit of a problem for me. I am 6'2" and the cabin is less spacious than I would desire. The captains chairs are uncomfortable for long rides and have little lumbar support. If you have back trouble, I don't recommend this vehicle. The dashboard is cheap - no luxury here. Just a typical economy car.
