2002 Ford F-350 Super Duty - Incredible convenience and value
This truck has been as solid as a rock for us, despite being quite old. It is has mostly been used for long trips, moving, and picking up large items from stores but altogether has over 80,000 miles on it. Despite this, it has had very few maintenance issues beyond standard requirements like changing tires and minor problems. The long bed is amazing for hauling items that most vehicles could not handle, and makes packing for long trips to New York a breeze. It drives great, especially for a large truck, and is an all-around pleasure.
Story
Buying a king sized bed frame that was huge and finding out it probably wouldn't have fit if the truck's gate was even an inch smaller (we have a cap), meaning that almost any other vehicle out there would have failed.
Pros
The absolute best feature of this truck to me is the long bed. I can't count the number of times we have gotten great deals at stores because we were able to bring home fully assembled products instead of needing delivery or small boxes. It is a very sturdy truck and drives like a passenger car more than a work truck, which is very nice for long trips.
Cons
The gas mileage is pretty terrible, but that is obviously expected in a truck like this. We have had some small areas where the paint is not holding up too well, but this should probably be expected for such an old truck.
