2015 Ford F-350 Super Duty - Generations.
What I like about this truck is how quiet it is when driving down dirt roads out in a field or down the interstate. It's like driving while sitting in your living room -- quite comfortable and plenty of entertainment. The only thing that I don't like about the truck is the regeneration of the DPF and how they achieve the hit temperatures needed to burn off the deposits.
Story
Hauling a 10,000-pound load and the truck not even struggling in the hot, Georgia heat.
Pros
The engine was built by Ford and not outsourced to a different vendor. The body style and the interior and the lack of sound coming from outside the cab.
Cons
The biggest thing for me is the regeneration process and how they achieve the high temperature to burn of the deposits in the DPF. They could have done without sending fuel down the exhaust valves. Also, I would have like to have a high idle/uplifter switch added for prolonged idle time like the ambulance models do.
2008 Ford F-350 Super Duty - Very powerful and very fun.
It is a great truck. The engine is big and powerful. I drove it to Costa Rica, and it was the best vehicle for the trip. Big and roomy on the inside for my wife and I. Big on the outside made it very safe for our trip. The only con was the roads are very bad (potholes that stretch all the way across the whole road bad). The truck had a less-than-hoped-for ride, but it did fine, and I hit a few of those holes in Honduras at 85-90 mph. I love the truck!
Story
It is a lot of fun to drive on the freeways in Albuquerque! Open spaces and great acceleration.
Pros
The truck is very powerful. The interior is very roomy and nice. Has a decent radio. I really like that the vents can be adjusted so much.
Cons
The only negative I have for this great truck is the ride is a little stiff. Nothing some aftermarket add-ons didn't take care of though.
