2004 Ford F-350 Super Duty - Good until 215,000 miles

This is the second 2004 Ford Pickup that I have owned. The first one being a F-250 Lariat and this one an F-350 Super Duty XLT. They both have the 6.0 Turbo Diesel engine. Both engines started having serious problems right around 215k miles. I loved the truck when it was running great. These trucks tend to rust severely in the bed especially around the rear wheel wells. It is a great truck until it starts presenting problems with the engine.
Story
This truck was great on the highway, great handling, great fuel mileage. I used it to travel from New York to North Carolina numerous times, and it was always reliable.
Pros
I love the design of the truck. I have always preferred Fords over any other make. They are powerful when they are running good. Good pickup, good tow capacity, good 4x4.
Cons
The engine starts presenting serious issues around 215k miles. The severe rusting around the rear wheel wells.

This is a great truck. It keeps on going. We have over 200,000 miles on it and it still runs great. We love the body style and the color choice. It has great durable leather interior. It has held up great to our three children and two dogs. This is a great diesel truck that can pull a lot of weight with ease.
