My truck is made of metal, it runs great even after all these years. It is hard to find an automobile worth the purchase price in today's market. I trust this truck with my important cargo, my baby.
Story
I been hit in a few accidents, all of which I wasn't driving and the older cars I hardly felt anything plus one saved my life. We where hit by an oilfield truck, had the car not been a long metal firebird that took the hit I wouldn't be here.
Pros
I know that it will take a lot to get to my family in a wreck
Cons
Gas hog

2018 Ford F-350 - Features and hauling capacity will make your choice for you. There was a time when you could get a one ton version of an F250 or F350, so if you are considering an older truck you might be able to get away with a lower trim model.

Features and hauling capacity will make your choice for you. There was a time when you could get a one ton version of an F250 or F350, so if you are considering an older truck you might be able to get away with a lower trim model. My 1996 F250 was such a truck, with the features I wanted. I specifically wanted a long bed with an extended cab (and not a crew cab). I haven’t seen any F350 from my year with just an extended cab. Another advantage of my F250 is that though I have the hauling capacity of a one ton truck, I can pull parts from half ton, and I have a gasoline engine. In modern super duty trucks there is no cross compatibility with their light duty trucks. I would say if you are picking a modern truck hauling capacity is all that matters in making the decision(apart from expen... (more)
Story
On a wet and miserable December day in 2014, I came home to a letter from my landlord that he would not renew my lease. Due to various logistical issues, this meant that I (a single parent) and my two children, then ages five and eight, would be without stable housing for at least a couple of months.
Pros
Having worked at Ford and spent a great deal of time planning, developing, and marketing Ford trucks, this answer will have that bias. However, I am also a student of truck history and an industry watcher, so this bias hopefully will be moderated. The Ram truck brand is a modern marketing term for a very important truck brand historically: Dodge. The Dodge Brothers built major components for early Ford cars and profited greatly from that enterprise. When the Dodge car was launched in 1916 it very quickly earned an outstanding reputation for ruggedness and value. Dodge trucks followed in th... (more)

I love driving. I commute 32 miles each way to and from work every day. I can easily drive for 16 or more hours with only a few breaks for food, gas and putty stops. IÕve driven from San Francisco to Phoenix in one day. San Francisco to Seattle in one day. From Chicago to San Francisco in slightly less than two days and a half days. I love driving cross country, this big beautiful country of ours.
