2002 Ford F-150 - Great truck!
It is very safe to drive, has a classic body style, comfortable seats, and radio and CD player work well. It has a stylish interior. The truck can carry heavy loads. It steers well on the road. It has four-wheel drive. Fuel economy is not very good. Automatic steering. Seats go back for resting.
Story
We had a great tailgate party at a local sports event. We pulled down the tailgate, opened the cooler, and had an instant party!
Pros
Safety. Easy to drive. Built well. Comfortable. Durable.
Cons
Lousy fuel economy. It's large, so not that easy to park. I sit high on the seat, so I can't see small children in my rear view mirror. Sometimes hard to find a parking space large enough for it.
1998 Ford F-150 - Ford tough
When we first purchased it, I hated it. It was the first truck we had ever owned. After I drove it and rode in it , I had different feelings about trucks. It was a great truck. It handled great and got great gas millage . When on the open road, it consumed about the same as a large car would have. The first thing that went out was the cycloid, which was a easy fix. This truck was more dependable than any vehicle we had ever owned. It had over five hundred thousand miles before the engine went out. If I had the money, I would buy another Ford truck.
Story
Went to the beach and we never got stuck at St. Augustine beach. The sand was so deep, but the truck always pulled it own way through the sand. We helped many people get unstuck.
Pros
No break downs. Good gas mileage. Comfortable. Easy to handle.
Cons
After five hundred thousand miles, the engine seen better days.
