2016 Ford F-150 - Ford F-150 aluminum frame. No insurance claims necessary.
I located this vehicle on CarMax and was impressed with the slick looks, only to be stunned by the toughness. I have put over 18,000 miles on it, including highway, local, and off-road.
Story
We enjoy taking the truck camping, fishing, and to the hunting cabin on the farm. We throw the tailgate down and just gather around and relax.
Pros
It handles in the snow and mud better then any other truck I've owned over the past twenty-five years. I opted for the aluminum frame, and I haven't had any issues hauling any product, from firewood, to groceries, stones, cinder blocks, and much more. I've tried and tried to rip the truck bed like the Chevy commercial depicts, but have yet to use my Geico to fix anything. It rides like an SUV, performs like an old-style farm truck, and is efficient with fuel as well, getting approximately 22 miles per gallon.
Cons
There is one feature I am not a fan of, however. They have this feature that will "turn off" the engine of the truck when stopped for a period of time, i.e. stop-light or drive-through. The driver needs to turn this off manually if they don't want to use it. I personally turn it off every time because I am nervous that if the starter ever went, I would be stranded at the stop-lights.
