1988 Ford F-150 - Ride of my life!
I love the 4x4 feature of my truck. The engine has enough power to push me through most problems if I ever have any. The couch seating is also fun because the girls love it. The only thing I don't like about my truck is the turning radius. The truck seems to hit the wheel well, or I can feel the power steering hitting something if I turn to much. The truck itself overall performs very well. I have yet to run into a problem I cant drive over or pull.
Story
I was once four wheeling with the truck one year by my house when we had heavy snow. I got stuck in a very deep ditch because I slid out around a corner. There was about ten people looking at me spin my tires trying to get out. I then realized I didn't have it in four-wheel drive and when I put it in the four-by, I easily launched out of the ditch and drove off.
Pros
I love the couch seating of my interior. I have the power everything option so that's an nice added feature to a 1997. I have a nice deep blue that makes it look very unique as well. It also has fog lights, which help when I get really bad visibility problems.
Cons
I am not a fan of the turning radius. It seems to hit something if I turn to hard and I can hear it. As much as I like the couch seating. there is very little room to put anything I need behind the seating. The seats also don't adjust very much.
2007 Ford F-150 - One of the greatest cars I've owned, very safe and reliable.
This truck is one of the best cars/trucks I've ever owned. It is very safe and reliable, and ever since being in an accident, it has still been very reliable, safe, and easy to fix. I have had this truck for four years, and there has never been any complaint with the mechanical or cosmetic wear of this truck. I hope to one day pass this truck along to other members of my family or sell/give to someone who needs it more than me.
Story
My sister and I went on a trip about two hours away to go to a concert. Because she didn't have a car, we took my truck. I am extremely happy we did because of the fact it was one of the best trips I've taken in the truck. Even though it cost a lot to put gas in it, in the end it was worth it because of how much fun I had.
Pros
There are many pros to the F-150 that there is. I specifically have the Lariat edition, so it is extremely nice and high quality. This truck is very safe and has saved me in what could've been a severely bad accident. That is why I am so thankful to have a car this safe, even being 11 years old. It has been easy to fix mechanically and cosmetically.
Cons
There are a couple of cons I have to owning a F-150. The first con is cosmetic wear. There has been a ton of cosmetic wear that has diminished over time extremely. Second con I have is that the gas mileage is horrible in this truck being only 11 mpg.
