1998 Ford F-150 - I love my truck.
I love my truck. This is my first truck. I bought it from a friend of my cousin. I couldn't be happier with it. It does all the things I need it to do. It hauls kids, gear. I've helped some of my neighbors move. And it's fun to ride in even if you're just tooling around the countryside.
Story
Last weekend, I got to take my son's Boy Scout troop fishing on a friend's lake. It was fun being the mom to haul all the gear and the food and the snacks. Best of all, the kids piled into the bed of the truck as we trolled from spot to spot along the lake. Good memories all around!
Pros
It has room for people, and it's very smooth riding. I enjoy my time in the truck. One of my favorite things is that if I need to fix something on the truck, parts are easily available and not very expensive. It is really good for someone who loves to learn how to fix her own things.
Cons
The only downside to this truck is that it eats gas, especially since it's an older model. It barely gets 16 miles to a gallon of gas on the highway: the exact distance to the nearest town. I guess that's a consequence of it being an older model, but the fact that I burn through 60 bucks worth of gas a week kind of hurts.
