2010 Ford F-150 - Powerful vehicle and roomy
I bought this vehicle March of 2016 and I have to say I am very impressed with this vehicle, so far. I am a mechanic myself, and I know a good vehicle when I see one. This vehicle has the powerful 5.4 Triton V8 engine, and is great for towing, if you need to. This motor does not have the spark plugs that break like the 2004-2008 5.4 motors so that is a big plus. This vehicle is equipped with SYNC system to pair your phone and Bluetooth devices, auto lamps, power windows, folding rear seats, column shifter, cruise control, and parking aid assist with rear view camera.
Story
I like the memories of taking my family out to dinner, every once in a while, in it.
Pros
Very powerful vehicle with lots of torque. Quick throttle response. SYNC system for hands free talking. Parking aid camera always coming in handy. A lot of easy access under the hood for repairs.
Cons
Seats are light cream colored so they will stain easily. Not the best fuel economy.
2006 Ford F-150 -
It is a great running vehicle. I care for it well and still drives like it was new. The wear and tear is well tolerated, as long as everything is cleaned up properly. I've had fewer problems with this truck than others have, even with the same model. It has performed well. The gas mileage is the same as when it was new, without an engine overhaul.
Story
I am not a fun person. I do enjoy driving around in it. I also like hearing compliments on the condition of the truck. As close to fun as I get.
Pros
No break downs. The mechanical elements are very reliable. I've never been stranded or broken down on the road in 11 years. The paint job has held up well. When washed and waxed looks as good as new, literally.
Cons
There is the gas mileage. I new what it was when I bought it, but wish it could be better. My mom needs a booster step to get in it, but that's just nitpicking.
