The 2012 Ford F-150 is an alright vehicle. I am not thrilled with it though. I am an owner of a 2005 Ford F-150, so this gives me a lot to compare the 2012 with. The 2012 is overpriced for what it is. The thing that really gets me about it is that all of the problems that were known problems in the 2005 have not changed. Come on, if Ford wants to up their price then they need to up their game. We all know that Ford has had an ongoing problem with the door seals falling out in cold weather. Every time the door is opened you have to stop and put the seal back on. The 2012 is still doing this. The older models had problems with the four wheel drive actuator. Well guess what the 2012 still does. I could go on and on about the things that never got changed but the price keeps going up.
Story
One fun memory was riding around looking at Christmas Lights as a family. It was the weekend before Christmas. It was cold and the roads were slippery. We didn't hesitate to go out though. We knew that we would have no problem navigating the slippery roads in our 2012 Ford F-150. The lights were beautiful and we had a great time and arrived home safely.
Pros
Here are the lists of pros. I love the leather interior and the heated seats this is a great feature. I love that I can turn off the traction control when needed. I love the fact that the back seats fold up two different ways to give to options of fold up. This creates a full trunk in the back for hauling groceries. I love the tailgate assist for getting in the back of the pickup. I think the backup camera really makes it easier for backing up.
Cons
The cons are a lot. I hate the auto window. I can never get it adjusted right. I hate that the door seal is always falling off in cold weather. I do not like the climate control when it is cold out. I have to have both sides set to 90 degrees and the fan all the way up to keep the windshield clear. Then, I am dying of heat stroke when I reach my destination. I hate the new style running boars, they are slippery even in the summer. I have fallen off of them a couple of times due to slipping. I hate the new center console design in the front seat it is too heavy and high. I hate the wing bac... (more)

I have owned Ford F-150's since my early 20's and I'm 50 now. The one I'm currently driving is the truck I dreamed of for years. I waited until I could pay cash. I didn't want a large monthly payment to take away from my enjoyment of the truck. So, every time I start up my big, black, and beautiful Ford F-150 Lariat, I feel nothing but joy. The sound of the 5.4 liter, 8 cylinder engine never gets old. It’s a strong sound, a big sound. But is also has a smoothness to it—a refinement. A sound that says I am driving a strong and tough, but refined piece of equipment. It’s what they call a “Crew Cab.” Which means it has four full doors, and is huuuge inside—more room than most cars. And part of my “dream” when saving for this truck was that it would have all the bells and whistles. That’... (more)
Story
1. My wife and I were going out to celebrate our anniversary one year. I washed and detailed the truck. We got dressed up and went out to Malibu to very fancy restaurant on the beach. I'll never forget the look on the valet's face when I handed him the keys and got into my truck. "This truck is beautiful," he says, with wide eyes. "I had not idea these trucks were so nice on the inside--and I ... (more)
Pros
1. Great styling, good looking truck 2. Strong engine and good payload 3. Huge interior, great for road trips with the family 4. Reliability. With regular maintenance--no problems 5. Smooth, smooth, smooth ride.
Cons
1. The only issue I had was with the brake rotors warping a bit under heavy load. I just put on beefier rotors and it's been fine ever since. 2. The truck doesn't come cheap.
