2010 Ford F-150 - Strong, successful and safe.
The Ford F150 has been a top car on the market for a long time. I remember years ago seeing them all over the place and it is the same today. They are effective, safe, useful and practical.
Story
Beach trips where we could fill up the back and have plenty of space inside the car.
Pros
The pickup truck helps for transporting large items that would scratch or wreck other cars. My husband and I had a major car accident in ours too and it definitely saved our lives. I had a shattered elbow and my husband dislocated his hip and was knocked out. Our car ended up being totaled but it was worth it saving our lives. Had we been in a smaller car, we would not have survived. The F150 will forever have a special place for us in the car industry.
Cons
Since it is a larger vehicle the gas prices can wrack up pretty quick. Some parts can be a bit costly, but they are also long lasting and worth it. You just need to take care of your vehicle.
2012 Ford F-150 - Good farm truck
This is a solidly-built vehicle. It has extra oomph when you need it. The ride is pretty smooth for a truck. The visibility is also pretty good. It has low mileage but hasn't required any unexpected repairs.
Story
I moved to a farm in the Midwest and this truck really makes you feel like a legit farmer (even if you're not).
Pros
The A/C gets cold fast. It can seat six people, if you need it to. It has a nice fuel economy/trip display. It's designed so there isn't a gas cap. The blue color with chrome accents looks sharp. The sound quality of the speakers is really good.
Cons
Poor mileage (16mpg). Gets banged up and dinged easily. The way the doors open toward each other means that they hit each other if you're not careful. The seats aren't comfortable for drives longer than 40-60 minutes.
