1998 Ford F-150 - Good Product
I own a Ford F150. Overall, it's a good vehicle. Obviously, this vehicle is not fuel efficient, but it is likely more efficient than other trucks its size and weight. Ford does an excellent job supporting its products. At times, I've used their credit system and that has also been useful when I didn't have the cash on hand to pay for repairs.
Story
We recently camped out at the Grand Canyon. We forgot the poles to our tent, so I slept in the cab of the truck.
Pros
I like the vehicle because I feel safe in it overall. I feel safe in traffic and in weather. The front seats are comfortable, and the style is still fairly fashionable, even though I have an older model. Repairs on my vehicle have been limited and mostly due to wear and tear.
Cons
The back seat is quite uncomfortable. I think this could easily be dealt with, and maybe Ford has fixed this for newer models.
2005 Ford F-150 - Family truck for all occasions.
This was a great truck, it was built tough and really held up over the years. I used the truck for heavy equipment including chainsaws and air compressors, the bed lining available form the factory remaining looking new even after 4 years of business use. The F150 is also great on gas mileage the full back seat makes long family road trips a breeze.
Story
I had a great time going up the white mountains, with full view windows all around I never missed any of the awesome scenery.
Pros
This vehicle always had the coldest air conditioning of any other, living in Arizona where temperatures are in the 100's three months out of the year there is no room for non functioning A/C. The four wheel drive technology is ideal for dessert riding to see any of the marvelous natures we share.
Cons
Repair prices can become expensive I definitely recommend the extended warranty!
