This pickup has the 2.7L twin turbo Eco boost engine and a six-speed automatic. It is 4WD with a locking rear differential, and it has the factory heavy towing kit. I have a heavy toolbox shell on it with a ladder rack. I carry enough weight to be at the maximum rated weight for the pickup at almost all times. I sometimes tow a landscape style trailer with a small manlift and other things. I drive in mountainous terrain and on some nicely groomed gravel/dirt roads. I generally average 40-55 MPH every working day and about 150 miles. (It has awesome trip meters and such.)
Story
I beat a Tesla from 0-65 MPH (the speed limit) and that felt good and surprised the Tesla driver substantially. Be warned, if you pull up next to a F150 with the EcoBoost badges, you are likely at the mercy of the pickup driver.
Pros
This pickup is insanely powerful and accelerates like an older Mustang (say a 1990 Mustang GT). People pull out to pass me all of the time when they see the tool shell when I am stopped at the intersections, and most of the time, they shall not pass. (I did get beaten by a Charger with a Scat Pack recently, I blame it on the tool shell.) This pickup handles nicely, and if you did not know it had a small engine in it, you would think it had a mild Big Block v8 in it. Cons
When I go 80 on the freeway, the ladder rack and the weight destroy the fuel economy, sometimes as low as 16 MPG. Using the big power all of the time hurts the gas mileage substantially. I wish the Bluetooth would hook onto both of my cell phones at the same time. I wish I had the bigger gas tank. I have to fill it every 460 miles or so. There have been a couple of recalls. On rainy days, water from the wheel wells gets into the bed.

I bought this truck so that I would have something to haul a boat or a trailer and that would also be roomy enough for my family of four. As both of my children are still in car seats and will be for a few years, space in the back seat was very important. The truck is silver with black cloth interior and dark tinted windows. If I had it to do over, I would have gotten a truck with a lighter interior because the black shows every bit of dirt, and with kids, you can imagine that that is a lot. There is a tremendous amount of space in the backseat. I can put one kid on each side, and they can't even reach each other, which is not the case in my car. Story
Last month we took the truck on a camping trip. The kids got to ride in the back of the truck for the first time when we were puttering around the camp ground. My husband was driving and the kids, the dog, and I were all in the bed. It was all fun and great until the dog saw a squirrel and jumped out of the truck to chase it, and we had to stop in the middle of the road to go chase her down.
Pros
Hauls trailers easily with minimal extra fuel consumption. Has lots of interior room, especially in the back. Is very comfortable for long trips. Built-in back-up camera that automatically pops up when the truck is in reverse. Bluetooth capabilities, easily connects to phones and laptop.
Cons
Paint job - as with all Ford vehicles, it seems - is subpar. Two years old and the clear coat is already bubbled in a couple of places. Black interior. There is nothing wrong with it physically; it just shows all of the dirt. Wish I had gotten a different color. Bed liner that came with it was crap.
