2005 Ford Explorer - Dependable.
We found the vehicle on a car lot and they hadn't even had the chance to look at it yet. It has run very well except for some maintenance repairs that we have had to do. It fits our family and is good on gas. Plus we were able to buy it out right with cash.
Story
It was so much easier when we had our second child to be able to get in and out of the vehicle and not feel cramped.
Pros
Good on gas. Not a lot of maintenance on it. It runs well especially for its age. It is comfortable and looks nice. It has a sun roof and automatic seats, locks, etc.
Cons
It has some rust on it. There was a leak in the sun roof. The wheel bearings and struts needed fixed when we got it.
1999 Ford Explorer - Love the car
This car is amazing! While being old with tons of miles on it, it's still running and actually runs really well. I have had to replace some of the parts, but only just recently and it is again running amazingly. Awesome car, it has plenty of room for me and my family.
Story
My family and I drove this car to Washington DC and had a blast!
Pros
It is a great car, it's got plenty of room, and it has good get up and go! It's truly amazing!
Cons
Gas mileage is awful, that's the only con.
