2005 Ford Explorer -
The build quality of this car is great. We've had it for 11 years now, and it has been through that many winters and summers in Chicago. The handling of the car is exceptional. We have 182,000 miles on it currently and it is still going strong.
Story
We have gone on many fun trips with our family and to sporting events as well.
Pros
My favorite feature is the third row that folds down as well as the back window can just open versus opening the entire back hatch. The performance of the car has been exceptional as well.
Cons
It seems to be a little top heavy. We also have a squeak while the air or heat is on that no one can identify.
2010 Ford Explorer - This vehicle is one of the smoothest and most comfortable cars I have ever driven. I feel very safe and in complete control of it at all times, in all weather.
The car is styled with a certain sense of sportiness. The sides of the car have a sharp, stylish wedge to them, while the back of the car has a small, sporty spoiler. The front of the vehicle is also angled with a touch of aggressive cuts, for just the right amount of sportiness, while remaining mostly as an economical car. The car is literally the most comfortable car I have ever had the pleasure of sitting in. The seats are not made of leather, which tends to get unbearably hot in summers or incredibly cold in winters, and are rather made of a type of high-end fabric, which allows for an even, comfortable temperature throughout the seating. The seats are also very soft and extremely comfortable to sit in, offering the perfect amount of support. It performs very well in all weather.
Story
I have had my first kiss in the car. One time, my friends and I also raced our cars through wide country backroads in the summer, and I surprisingly won!
Pros
The car is shaped very nicely, offering a sporty, affordable mid-size sedan. The seats, as mentioned above, are extremely comfortable. The car is good at staying in control during winter storms, and I have always felt in proper control of the vehicle. The car's dashboard is visually attractive, with a stunning display on the speedometer and dials. The music system is outstanding, and can easily get very loud. It has crisp and even tones in the music, and is one of the best audio systems I have ever heard in a car.
Cons
There is one negative thing about this vehicle. Firstly, the seats, being a fabric material, are not easy to clean. Stains are hard to clean and pet hair often gets caught in the fabric very easily.
