So I've had this car for a little over two years now. It did have some problems, like leaking coolant, that did not get solved over multiple repairs. Whether this was the part makers fault or the mechanics fault, I really cannot say. I love how much room there is in the back of the car. The back seats also fold down, so if I need to sleep in it on a road trip, I have more than enough room. Speaking of road trips, I drove it all the way from So-Cal to Seattle, WA. It made it up the entire trip with no problems. However, on the way back, the alternator died and I had to get it replaced. It's been going fine for a while now. I have to get the brakes replaced, but its honestly not that bad. It feels good on the road and has over 100k miles on it and only has needed a few repairs.
Story
The road trip I took last summer was amazing. Driving through OR at 2am through the forests was awesome.
Pros
Lots of back room. Front has decent room as well. Stable vehicle that has gotten me to and from places reliably.
Cons
MPG is alright at around 16-18 miles. I have no clue how big the tank is because the little booklet guide doesn't tell you. I think its 18-gallon tank. Randomly shuts off the engine when the revs get low (like when backing out of a parking spot).

2013 Ford Explorer - Good family car.

In general, this car has been an asset to our family. We have a large family, and it has allowed us to travel more efficiently. It has been very dependable and reliable in many different environmental conditions.
Story
My son learned how to drive in this vehicle and has made many memories, both good and scary.
Pros
One of the best factors of this vehicle is the third-row seating. This was one of the reasons that this car appealed to our family. At the time we had six family members living in the home with the occasional visitors. The car gets pretty good gas mileage efficiency averaging about 21 mpg highway. I compute pretty far each day, and this saves the family money. I also like the back-up camera. I am very bad at backing up, and this has improved my reverse parking and parallel parking. Another feature of the vehicle I like is the AWD. I have to drive in snow and ice in the winter, and i... (more)
Cons
The car does have quite a few blind spots that have caused me issues driving on many occasions. Even though the highway mileage efficiency is pretty good, I do wish that the city mileage efficacy was better.
