The '03 Explorer (V8) is a monster of a truck. The V8 gives it the power that it needs to pull itself uphill fast or to pick-up speed very fast when getting onto the highway. Fourteen years later, the truck is still in great condition, has very little road noise, and hasn't had any major issues, just basic maintenance. You can't find a better truck for basic, everyday use than the '03 Explorer
Story
When I first got the truck, I was driving late at night on the highway and no one else was out, so I decided to see what the truck could really do. I was at 100 MPH in no time. That was a great night.
Pros
The truck has a quiet ride, even with the V8 engine pushing it along. The seats are very comfortable. It is almost like laying in a reclining chair. Also, the body is solid, so there's no thought about safety issues.
Cons
It's a gas guzzler, getting about 14 MPG average. Also, the truck goes through wheel bearings it seems about every six months.

This is one of the smoothest driving trucks ever. The seats make you want to lay back and take a nap. Not to mention they stay warm because of the seat warmers. This truck can fit nine to ten people, depending on the size of the person.
Story
I accidentally went off road one day, and, let me tell you, the 4x4 kicked in and the tires gripped the dirt like you've never seen before.
Pros
It has heated seats, retractable gas/brake pedals, rearview camera, a powerful V8 engine, and best of all, it's 4-wheel drive!
Cons
It's definitely a gas guzzler. Also, when you go over bumps you can hear the body of the trunk moving. Only other con is the lack of trunk space, unless the third row is put down.

The staff was friendly, helpful and got me on my way with my new car in no time. The first dealership where I didn't experience the car sales pitch. They talked to me like a real person, not a potential sale.

We were given nice service and best of all a great price. They gave us a six month check up for free. We were not pushed into a purchase but allowed to take our time and see if it was the right vehicle for us.
