The vehicle is reliable and over the past few years I have never had any issues with it. It has a sunroof and spacious backseat which is good for storage. I always have enough room for bags when leaving the grocery store. It does not get good gas mileage at all. That is the big con.
Story
A fun story I have is driving me and my friends in this car to the movie theater every Friday night. It is a staple of my later teenage years.
Pros
The positive things are the spacious interior. The seats are also leather, so you do not have to worry about spills on fabric seats. The large size makes me feel safe. I was in a car accident a few years ago. I hit a patch of snow and flipped the Explorer over into the ditch. Despite all of this there was very minimal damage. The side mirror broke. That was it. I felt that the vehicle did a good job protecting me. The four wheel drive is also a nice bonus!
Cons
The cons are definitely the gas mileage. I feel like I always am running to the gas station with this vehicle. It can be very frustrating. Also, even though the vehicle is old, I have noticed a lot of paint chipping off of it. The steering wheel also secretes a black liquid in the hot sun that gets all over the drivers hands. And the automatic drivers seat adjuster no longer works, meaning I cannot change the positioning of the seat. Keep in mind this is an older vehicle, and all cars need maintenance.

My 1999 Ford Explorer Eddie Bauer edition is a great SUV. A lot of room to hold your groceries, store your kid's sports equipment, etc. The back seat has a lot of seating as well and enough space for three people. In the back row of the car you are able to control the air, heat, and radio or even plug in head phones and listen to something else. This vehicle, which still runs, has over 250,000 miles on it and you wouldn't even be able to tell if you didn't look. The only real problem that I have with this vehicle is the child lock on the back door, on one of the doors I am unable to open it from the inside which is a hazard but also keeps the kids safe.
Story
Driving the country back roads with the windows down and my boyfriend putting his hands through our sunroof being a goof.
Pros
Some of the things I like about this vehicle is the space, being able to throw all my groceries, sports equipment, and stroller all in the back seat and still be able to close the hatch. The sunroof is great for sunny days - it will either open up completely or you can have it to where it just lifts up to give a little bit of a breeze.
Cons
The downside of this vehicle is the gas mileage, I believe it only gets 15 miles per gallon, and when gas prices are down it costs $50 to fill completely up. Definitely not a car that you would want to drive on a road trip. Also the door not being able to open from the inside is a problem.

They were willing to get the exact car I wanted. They sent a driver to Alabama with one of their cars to pick the one I wanted up from a sister dealership at 2am so that I could have mine by noon the next day.

You can't beat the customer service at KC Summers. A lot of places use high pressure sales tactics to get you to buy a car, but the salesperson was laid back and I felt no pressure. They helped me find what I wanted and made sure I was satisfied.
