The Ford Explorer is an excellent vehicle for anyone living in a rural area. It is hard The Ford Explorer is an excellent vehicle for anyone living in a rural area. It is hardy and durable. It drives over rough terrain with ease. When the ground gets too rough, it’s a simple flip of the switch to put it in 4-wheel drive. It has large windows which make it easy to see everything surrounding the vehicle. There is only one small blind spot on the passenger side rear that you have to watch out for. It handles great on the highway. It is very spacious inside. It can comfortably fit 3 people on the backseat with a load of gear on the “trunk” area. The hatchback door makes it very convenient to load and unload. The roof rack on top also makes it convenient for transporting large items, ladder... (more)
Pros
The durability, the spaciousness, the ability to handle all types of terrain, the low cost to operate and maintain.
Cons
It overheats sometimes and does not put out enough interior heat in the winter.

One of my favorite things that I love about my Ford Explorer is that is has three rows. I have two boys, so I'm able to put my oldest son all the way to the back and my younger son in the middle row. It's great. One of the downsides of it is that sometimes I can feel my engine slip when it goes up in gear. The quality in general was great for my price point though, and I would consider buying a newer version when I'm car shopping again.
Story
One of my favorite memories is when my family and I moved to Oregon. We all packed up in my Ford Explorer, and we went on a long, long road trip.
Pros
The top pros of my Ford Explorer is having three rows. I can fit my family of four very comfortable on a long road trip. Plus, we have room to have my son's friends come with us plus our family. It's great. I love my sun roofs. Yes, sun roofs because there is one up front and one in the back. So my boys love that feature too. My leather Interior is easy to keep clean.
Cons
Some cons is the huge issue Ford had with the exhaust issues leaking into the car itself. But that was completely taken care of by the dealership. My engine recently has been slipping when it shifts up. Also, when I try to browse radio channels, the switch on my steering wheel only lets me switch in between my pre selected stations, and it doesn't allow me to fulling scan every station. Also, I find it frustrating that I always accidentally call people all the time.

I like the salespeople and the finance manager. They did a great job of finding financing while my wife and I were rebuilding our credit. We were looking for something a little bigger at the time and he helped us find the right car with the right payment. There really wasn't any negotiating. They just came out with the right price.

The team at Bradley Ford was amazing to work with. This was the first car I ever purchased, and the amazing customer service is something I will always remember. The sales person took the time to not only get to know me, but to make sure I found the car that would best suit me.
