1993 Ford Explorer - POS
I love Fords and have had a great history with them. I love the fact that the Explorer is a 4 wheel drive sport utility car. This is a great feature for those of us who venture mountain roads and rough terrain. Whether you are an adventurer or just traveling through this car is cozy. Ford is known for their name and dependability of their products and this is a popular model. I myself would not go out and buy another myself, but if it was given to me such as this was, I would take it. I always say that's why it has given me so much trouble. The car will have its dependable moments but when it breaks down it seems to be at the worst possible moment and something major. Every time I think I'm good for a while it catches me off guard with something else. Good luck to anyone who also has t... (more)
Story
I have many memories in this car. First of all it use to be my grandpas car so I can remember riding with him and him yelling at men half his age. I can also remember when he started to get sick and his driving was like Mr Magoo. This is the car he hit the curb with a time or two. When I got the car It was really needed cuz we were living in the mountains. We got snow and this car got us throu... (more)
Pros
I love that I sit higher than many other cars which gives me a great line of sight on the road. It also gives you a little more respect from other drivers.
The explorer is also a roomy car great for traveling or off roading. My particular car has a sunroof which I love. The cool breeze is great anytime but especially morning and late night. I also love the leather seats. In my particular model there is also a temperature gauge for the outside which is great. I use this feature all the time. Its great to gauge on the freeway when heat is increased on a black surface. I also have enjoyed usi... (more)
Cons
There are so many issues and problems with this car. First of all I have had nothing but trouble with this thing engine wise. I have replaced so many parts such as battery, voltage regulator, starter, ignition, wires, plugs, rotors, brakes, seals, hubs, windows, etc.... I think my biggest problem with this particular model is the 4 wheel drive goes out all the time in cold weather. If you live in snow you will burn thru the electronic switch. I lived in a small community and it was a problem for every Explorer. This issue needs to be addressed What's the point in having 4 wheel drive if it... (more)
2013 Ford Explorer - I Love This Car!
I have had my Kia for over a year now and it has yet to disappoint me. I started out as a very timid driver and would hardly ever drive because I was afraid of it and I felt I couldn't gain enough control over the cars I was driving to feel comfortable. I ended up getting a Kia Soul because I felt like I could finally have some control over a car. It handles well, blind spots are basically non-existent, it's great for trips, and when you're in a very small place it is much easier to get around. The mileage is awesome, and when taking a trip for two with lots of luggage/space needed for souvenirs, the hatchback trunk and the backseats that you can put down give you plenty of space without the car having to be massive. It gets tricky if there's more than two though! It's very well design... (more)
Story
I have gone on a trip to Monterey Bay, an anime convention in Las Vegas as well as one in Los Angeles and several other trips to Los Angeles just on the spur of the moment all with my best friend and they have all been wonderful! She tells me every time we go somewhere in my car how much she loves it and wants to get one for herself!
Pros
I used to be a very timid and nervous driver before I bought my Kia, but I feel very in control and confident when I drive now and I have even actually come to enjoy driving. It gets great gas mileage, is fantastic for road trips for parties of two, there are pretty much no blind spots, and it handles very well! It is also has a nice heating/cooling system, comfortable interior, neat mood lighting in the front, and I have had to do very little maintenance on it. I have also found myself being thankful for the very small size of the car itself on numerous occasions. It's very convenient whe... (more)
Cons
The seats are only manually adjustable and sometimes that gets difficult to deal with, especially in the middle of a long trip. The other thing is that while the gas mileage is great, sometimes it doesn't seem to be as outstanding as I know it is because it has a very small gas tank. It would also be hard to go on a trip with more than two people if everyone has lots of luggage and is planning to bring home souvenirs as it will get crowded quickly.

First of all, I do work at this dealer that is why I got a great deal. My salesman John was great with what I wanted as payments.
