2001 Ford Explorer - Strong and Reliable
My car is old. So because of that there are issues with is. Its a 2001. I really love my car though. It is big and durable. I've crashed and it only had a few scratches on it. My car is white so Its impossible to keep clean, I've stopped trying. Some problems with my car, the doors creak, the key pad on the drivers door unlocks every door but the drivers door, It takes a lot of gas. I bought the car used in 2010 and I still love it. Its an automatic shift, which is nice for me. I've driven it all over the country and It works great.
Story
I have had so many deep conversations in my car. People just tend to open up when they are in my car, its great.
Pros
Pros of my car are that it is so big, I can fit everything I own in my car and travel to and from school, which is really nice. It can go off roading which is fun. It can hold over eight people if you are cool with people being in the trunk. It has a voice recorder on the sun visor, it has a sun roof. It has a key pad unlock. It has back seat controls for the radio and air. It has a display for how many miles till your car is out of gas.
Cons
Cons of my car are that it sucks up gas like crazy. Its old and because of that it creaks and moans and makes other disheartening sounds. The spare tire is under the car and really hard to get out. The sun roof is really hard to close completely.
2015 Ford Explorer - Favorable review
Our Ford Explorer is an attractive car that I am proud to drive. We have put quite a number of miles on the car in less than a year, and it still drives beautifully. The driving is smooth and easy, and everyone that drives in our car comments on how nice the leather seats are as well as the modern design of the interior. One of my favorite features on the Ford Explorer is the rear view camera for backing up. I feel so much more confident driving in reverse because of this feature, so much so that I don't know what I would do without it.
Story
There isn't any specific fun story regarding our car, but I have been surprised by the number of people who comment on how nice it is.
Pros
The interior of our Explorer is high quality and is commented on frequently by our friends and family. I love the rear view camera for driving in reverse. The steering is smooth, and it is easy to navigate sharp turns. It is easy to determine from the dashboard the car's speed and fuel economy.
Cons
The biggest negative about this vehicle is the fuel economy. I have been a little disappointed that we aren't getting the miles per gallon that we had in our previous car. The Explorer would also benefit in having bucket seat for the second row of seats.
