The Ford Explorer is a great vehicle for families. I really like the size of it living in a big city. It's large enough to carry seven and still get in and out of tight parking spaces. Options include heated seats, moonroof, leather. Basically, all the bells and whistles. I didn't think that I needed the moon roof but have really enjoyed it. The cup holders are in a very easy spot for use and second row has them as well. The second row is very roomy for passengers. It comes with a nice navigation system and also XM radio option. Stereo is better quality than the earlier models. The cargo area is extremely roomy with the third row seat down. I've used it many times carrying three large dogs along on vacation. Seats are leather and very durable. Sporty but comfortable drive.
Story
We took our kids and dogs on a trip and found that there's a kit you can buy to keep the dogs in the back. They constantly kept trying to climb over the seats, and this was so nice to have the last time we travelled.
Pros
Roominess, cargo space, options, easy to drive, stereo, overall look and feel is nice.
Cons
Second row cup holder broke and is flimsy, tires could be of better quality from factory, and Ford dealer very unresponsive.

I like the overall look of the vehicle, the powerful movement when I press the gas pedal. I like the outside trim, and the roominess inside. Legroom is great front and back.
Story
Using the Bluetooth device. My phone just popped up on the dashboard panel. I was surprised it was a wireless connection. I was mostly surprised but somewhat alarmed.
Pros
The vehicle rises smoothly, not like the boats they built years ago. I do not get seasick with the riding motion. The car has a firmness feel about it so it feels solid and bolsters my confidence when I am in the car. The solidness helps it grip the road and not feel like it will be blown off by a strong wind. I like the get-up-and-go nature of the acceleration. The front windshield and other windows give an unobstructed view of the road and surroundings.
Cons
I still have to get use to the with and length of the vehicle. it has that extended front bumper and I tend to not pull fully into the parking space because I do not want to scrape underside of the front bumper. Also, with the with of the vehicle has not settled in my mind. Most parking spaces tend not to be wide enough, and it takes maybe two tries to make sure I am within the lines.

The loan paperwork was streamlined. They had my loan approved before the end of the day. The car also had a five year warranty. The warranty still hasn't expired. I haven't had the need to use it but if I do I know it's there. I would recommend them to anyone.
