2013 Ford Explorer - Love It
I really love my vehicle. I love the way it handles when driving it. I have almost 70,000 miles on this vehicle and the only thing in 3 and 1/2 years is the battery needed to be changed recently. Which of course they don't last forever anyway. But overall this is the best vehicle I have ever owned. I would definitely recommend to anyone.
Story
I was able to load up the vehicle with my daughter and her friends for homecoming one year. We looked good!
Pros
There are many things I like about my vehicle. I love the Bluetooth capabilities. Speaking on the phone through it and also listening to music through different devices. I love the middle row captain's chairs and I especially love the back up camera. I love the leather seats. They are really easy to clean.
Cons
There aren't many negative things about my vehicle. One thing is I wish there would have been more color options in the trim that I was looking for. I also would have liked the last row to fit 3 people instead of 2. One other thing is it has power but it comes in late when gaining speed.
1995 Ford Explorer - Dated and time for upgrade.
The interior is pretty bland for a 1995 model vehicle. The color is not my type either (green). Also, the steering is stiff and the brakes too sensitive.
Story
During hurricane Katrina, this vehicle was driven by my family and I through St. Tammany and Orleans Parishes helping other family and friends relocate and clean up damaged housing. For that, it will always have a soft place in my heart for its reliability.
Pros
Mileage per gallon is decent. Very reliable, sturdy tires and transmission. Overall very durable and built to last a long time. The trunk has lots of space for camping and other outdoor activities.
Cons
The steering and brakes. The brake hardly must be pushed for it to slow down exponentially. The steering, while good, is too stiff for a 4x4, probably one of the worst overall.
