2016 Ford Explorer - Good, but not great for the price.
Overall, this isn't a bad vehicle but it also isn't great. I like the way it drives and it is comfortable. However, we live down a dirt road and it rattles a lot when driving up to our house. I have had issues with the SIM card not working randomly and then randomly deciding to work again. Shortly after we got it I had to bring it in and have it looked at because it was having mechanical issues; they replaced a part and said sometimes the part just sticks on new vehicles. Now it has an issue with the lock on the drivers side back door... it sticks. It takes several tries of unlocking and locking and unlocking to be able to get the door open which is a hassle because I have three kids. I am really unhappy that they haven't figured out a better way to access the 3rd row. We had the same ... (more)

I am really unhappy that they haven't figured out a better way to access the 3rd row. We had the same issue with the previous 2014 model we leased, but my husband doesn't want a minivan so we decided to just stick it out until our three kids can fit on one seat (they can't right now because of car seats). So my eight year old (still in a high back booster) has to climb in through the hatchback; I get some looks from people sometimes probably wondering if she is just sitting in the 'trunk' while I'm driving. I like the dashboard display and I really love the new heater/AC controls compared to the 2014 model. It also has a good amount of trunk space - even with the 3rd seats up most of the time I still feel like I have enough for what I need to haul. I also really like the button to open the hatchback; it's easier than the 2014 model we had before. I haven't used the remote start yet but I know from the 2014 model that I will enjoy it when it starts to snow.
I haven't' really had any. We have had this one for a little less than a year and I just really have only used it for going back and forth between dropping the kids at school and functions and grocery shopping.

2016 Ford Explorer - 2016 Ford Explorer and why you need it!
This is my second Ford Explorer. I originally had the 2013, and it was great. There were a few issues with it, as it was the new body style. The Bluetooth was not perfect with Apple products, and it would not connect when you had navigation active. Those issues have been fixed with the 2016 model. I cannot speak highly enough of this vehicle! It fits our needs and exceeds them. We have three children and also three large dogs. We have travelled in it with the third row down and had the dogs in the back. There's always plenty of room. It has so many amenities. You won't miss a thing. Heated and cooled seats, moon roof, great sound system, blind spot monitoring, rear-view camera, and the thing that you click to open the trunk when you have groceries. Oh. Did I mention remote ... Did I mention remote start for those cold winter mornings??? Size, gas mileage, comforts, seriously...there isn't a better vehicle for the cost.
We drove to Arkansas with our three dogs, and they had a blast! After Christmas, we decided to take our kids and dogs to a cabin in Arkansas. The dogs went in the cargo area with the third-row seat down, and there was plenty of space. This vehicle is a dream to drive and comfortable for everyone...even dogs. We also have the roof rack so that you can store luggage on top so that there's still plenty of cargo space. Our dogs need the A/C going even in the winter due to their thick coats so the front seat heaters come in very handy!
