Vehicle was bought used with minimal mileage. Vehicle does not have tow package but I have installed an aftermarket hitch which allows me to tow a utility trailer. The vehicle handles great with trailer loaded and unloaded. Engine does not overheat or bog down with loaded trailer. The interior has leather which is great for the dog and easy clean up with the kids. The third row seating is great when grandparents or friends come along, but difficult to enter since we have on both outside middle seats a booster and car seat for toddler. Engine and transmission has been great, exterior does dent easily and side moldings have gotten scratch easily. The interior leather and carpet looks great even when not detailed. Story
The vehicle does great with towing a trailer and the back up camera was a good aid for backing up into a tight spot.
Pros
The car has great electronics for seats, dashboard computer. The room for every seat is spacious even with two car seats. The third row when up has knee space and when folded down allows for a lot of cargo space. Also when all the seats are folded down a 72" door can be placed in the interior. The styling of the vehicle and handling is great. It has just the right amount of ride height for heavy snow but still easily accessible.
Cons
The Ford sync system has acted up and the screen went blank, luckily it was covered under warranty and the dealership handled the situation great. Ever since the work was performed it has worked better than before. The keys for vehicle are very expensive and the need for the dealership to program can set you back over $250.

This vehicle is big enough for a family of 6 and their luggage while having the car feel that makes this enjoyable to be an everyday driver! I really enjoy driving this Explorer and I am very impressed with the quality of the Ford product. So impressed that I bought my daughter a Focus.
Story
I have many memories of taking family trips in this vehicle, laughing with my kids and wife.
Pros
The power, ride and the ability to fit 7 people with their luggage. I love the Sync system!
Cons
I don't feel that this vehicle has a con. I guess that worst thing about it is the gas mileage, getting about 18mpg. But when you are transporting a family of 6, that is considered good gas mileage.
