THE OVERALL VEHICLE IS GREAT. IT IS EXTREMELY DEPENDABLE & NO MAJOR REPAIRS NEEDED. THE CAR HAS A GREAT DEAL OF FEATURES THAT MOST OTHER CARS DO NOT COME STOCK WITH. IT IS VERY GOOD ON GAS AND I COULD GO A GOOD TWO WEEKS WITHOUT HAVING TO FILL UP AT THE PUMP. THE ONE THING THAT I WOULD CHANGE IS THE SIZE. IF THE CAR WOULD BE A BIT BIGGER I WOULD GIVE IT AN A+++

DRIVING DOWN THE SHORE.
Pros
VERY WELL BUILT & STANDS UP TO ALL TYPES OF WEATHER CONDITIONS. EXCELLENT FEATURES AND AN ALL AROUND GOOD CAR. THE TRUNK IS A GREAT SIZE AS WELL.
Cons
THE BACKSEAT WOULD BE GREAT IF IT HAD A LITTLE MORE LEG ROOM.

2010 Ford Explorer - Awesome all around vehicle.

The Explorer is exceptionally smooth riding, even with over 100k miles. With standard maintenance the car handles like new, from steering to braking. The Explorer offers smooth towing capabilities and easily tows a two horse trailer with tack room fully loaded. The engine is powerful enough to manage the steep inclines going up the mountains. The Explorer also has several settings for the four wheel drive function. This allows for the four wheel drive to be set according to the current conditions which results in less fuel waste. The seats in both the second and third row easily fold down and back up. Even while managing two kids and a dog it is easy to make seating adjustments. Having the back seats fold down in different configurations make it fit a wide range of cargo from si... (more)
Story
At my parents mountain property we pack the car to its limits. Two kids, three adults, one dog, two 8 foot paddle boards, two ice chests, four beach chairs, and enough towells for everyone! It was a tight fit but everyone had a seatbelt and managed to make it to the lake with not cramping or asleep feet.
Pros
Good gas mileage for an SUV. Three different settings for the four wheel drive, which can be set with the push of a button instead of levers or a foot pedal. Second and third row of seats fold down as multiple sections to allow custom cargo area.
Cons
No running board and vehicle height make it difficult for children and small adults to get in. The back door glass is a door instead of a window (that could be rolled up). Vehicle has a large size and blind spot that take getting used to.
