This is an awesome little truck for the family on the go. There are some really cool features that were pretty advanced at the time and set it apart from other trucks like it. It has a full cab, no matter what model you get meaning you can comfortable seat five people in it, and the inside feels nice and roomy like an SUV... it is an explorer after all! The bed of this truck is very small so it is super easy to maneuver around turns, and you can back it up into a parking space like a regular little car. This vehicle was known for some problems though (*I worked at a ford dealership for five years) THEY ARE KNOWN FOR TRANSMISSION ISSUES. However, ours has had the same slipping issue forever and ever. It has not gotten any worse, and it has not gotten any better.
Story
We love camping in the Adirondacks, and this makes the perfect vehicle for loading up the family and gear and going on a trip!
Pros
Comfortably seats five people. Has a bed extender so you can fit bigger loads in the truck, since the bed is only 4 feet long. Powerpoints in the bed of truck allow you to use things outside of the vehicle. Rear window has an electronic lowering feature. Doesn't really need many repairs.
Cons
Transmission issues. Rusts easily underneath (the gas tank is leaking at the seam, however it IS 16 years old... so it might just be normal). Shackles and suspension parts tend to wear out quickly, resulting in quick tire wear. TERRIBLE GAS MILEAGE.

I loved this car when I first bought it. It looked and drove great. However as time went on I kept having problems...making funny noises and had to get repairs a lot. I bought it used, so I expected some issues but I eventually had to take it off the road because the repairs were just too much.
Story
We took it on a bunch of road trips and fortunately never had any problems on the road!
Pros
It handled very well. I loved having the four-wheel drive. Also having the space of a small SUV was great and I liked the look better than a lot of other small SUV's.
Cons
Had a lot of issues. I had to pay for many repairs.
